FareStart provides culinary-arts job training and placement to homeless individuals.  For over a decade, they had operated with their offices separate from their restaurant, lacking enough space for classes and meetings.  Common Ground helped the agency establish a complex financing package, enabling it to purchase a building and remodel the space so the entire operations could be integrated at one location.  Thanks to the new building, Farestart has adequate storage for the large volumes of food donated by other agencies, and they were able to double their capacity to train 575 students a year.
