We are working with the Mason County Shelter to acquire funding to build a 7-unit homeless family shelter and an 8-unit rental apartment building for low-income families.  Both existing facilities are located adjacent to Shelton Creek, which periodically floods and results in the Shelter having to relocate the families to motels and then pay for clean-up and repairs to the buildings. Together, we envision the new construction of replacement structures, away from the creek's flood areas, for both temporary shelter and permanent housing.
